John Dees – Pastor

A graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS), he received his Master in Religious Education. Before attending NOBTS, John attended Auburn on a football scholarship from 1972-1975 and earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. He has been a pastor for over 20 years, serving in two area churches and one church in Farmville , AL . Before becoming a pastor, John served as the North Alabama Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. John serves as chaplain of Bob Jones High School Football team. John has a regular TV broadcast on ZTV11 on Sundays at 7AM and 8PM and Wednesdays at 7:30AM and 10:30PM. John and his wife Nancy have two children: Kelli who served as a missionary in Spain and is now in Birmingham learning to teach English as a second language and Jason who pastors a church in the Atlanta, GA area.

Rex Looney – Associate Pastor and Minister of Music
Rex is a native of Alabama growing up in nearby Hartselle, Alabama. He has been in the ministry since 1981 serving Churches in Alabama and Louisiana. He is married to Mitzi and they have three children, Kyle, Katherine, and Sarah Beth. Rex enjoys golf, hunting, riding ATVS, and playing basketball. He serves CrossPointe Church as Associate Pastor and Minister of music.
David Howard – Youth Ministries
David has been married to his lovely wife Carrie Beth since July 19, 2003 and they are the proud parents of three beautiful children: Hannah Noel, Abigail Marie and Andrew David.
The Howard family comes to us from Birmingham, Alabama where David was licensed into the ministry in 1999 at Raimund Heights Baptist Church. David graduated from Southeastern Bible College in 2006 with a double Major in Bible and Theology, and a Minor in Christian Ministries. He has over 11 years of experience in youth ministry serving as Student Pastor in three other churches. Carrie graduated from Samford University in 2003, with a B.A. in Religion, and a Minor in Music. David says his general interests are Alabama football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Ross Kuykendall – Children Ministries
Ross is a husband and father who loves to play sports, read, and hang out with his kids. He has been married to his wife, Tina Kuykendall, since August 20, 1994. They have four children, Micah, Caleb, Nadia, and Seth. Ross graduated from Faulkner University here in Huntsville in 2004. Before Ross joined us here at CrossPointe Church, he was a Senior Pastor at Coosa Valley Baptist Church. Before that he served as the Children’s Pastor at Daystar Family Church in Northport, AL. And before that, he was the Student Pastor at Five Points Baptist Church in Northport, AL. Ross’ hometown is in Northport, AL. He was a resident of the Huntsville/Madison area twice; once from 1999-2004 and he moved back in March of 2010.

Renee Helms – Senior Pastor Administrative Assistant

Renee is a wife and mother who loves spending time with her husband and children, listening to music, taking trips to Starbuck’s, and, of course, cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Renee has been married to her husband, Alan Helms, since October 10, 1992. They have two children, Kenny and Allison. Before Renee joined us here at CrossPointe Church, she worked as a Children’s Ministry Assistant at Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. Before that, she was a stay at home mom for 8 years which allowed her to volunteer in various schools and even homeschool. And, before that she was a Distributed Systems Specialist for the Alabama Department of Education where she coordinated the network and computer systems help desk that supported the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services locations throughout the state. Renee’s hometown is Montgomery, AL. She has also lived in Shreveport, LA. Renee moved to the Huntsville/Madison area in October of 2009.
Carla McNeil – Financial Administrative Assistant
Carla is a wife and mother who loves gardening and swimming. She has been married to her husband Josh McNeil since August 19, 2006. They have three sons, Jonathan, Patrick, and Tanner. Carla graduated from Brookdale Community College in New Jersey with a degree in Elementary Education. Before she joined us here at CrossPointe Church, she worked at a bank, and, before that, as a consultant for Clinique Cosmetics. Carla was born in Vlissengen, Holland, but grew up in Corpus Christi, TX. She has been a resident of the Huntsville/Madison area since April of 2000.
Dawn Buscemi – Education Administrative Assistant

Dawn is a wife and mother who loves to spend time with her friends and family, garden, and cook (especially in making her own spice mixes). Dawn has three children, Jeremiah, Jason, Crystal, and Jacob, and five grandchildren. Before Dawn joined us here at CrossPointe Church she was an Administrative Assistant with a Pastoral Staff, and before that she was a Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator. Dawn’s hometown is Bismark, ND. She moved to the Huntsville/Madison area in March of 2009.
Lee Judge – Publications and Ministry Administrative Assistant for Youth, Music, and Senior Adults

Lee Judge graduated in May 2007 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in communications and a minor in music. She has been married to her wonderful husband, Andrew, since May 3, 2008. Lee is very excited to be here at CrossPointe Church doing a job she loves very much so early in her working career. She prays that God will continue to use her talents that she is giving back to Him as she furthers her career here.
