2010 International Mission Trips

Here is the Crosspointe International mission trip schedule for 2010.  We have four trips in the first part of the year and 3 more trips this fall.  The tip to Haiti is now full, so it isn’t listed.  Look at the one later in the year.  If you are interested in any of these trips, contact the POC now for availability.  Please prayerfully consider your participation in these trips.  We are having an informational meeting about the Call to Africa trip in May  this Sunday, Jan 10th, at 4:00 pm in the youth building and there will be more information to come on the other trips.  Please contact the POC for more information.

October 2-9, LWI Honduras Water Well trip, POC Mike Nevin nevin@knology.net, cot $1440

This will be the 3rd well that Crosspointe has drilled in Honduras and is a great opportunity to serve those less fortunate in Honduras who do not have clean drinking water.  Awesome trip to get your hands a little dirty drilling a fresh water well and minister to the local villagers. If you are the kind that likes to see the fruit of your labors, this is your trip.  Come to a village of people that drink dirty water on of a creek and leave knowing you have helped provide a clean, safe souse of drinking water to several thousand people.  Yes, most LWAI  wells serve 4,000 to 5,000 people in remote villages.

Fall 2010, New Life Haiti, Village Make-over, POC Mike Nevin nevin@knology.net, cost $780

This will be the second trip to Haiti this year.  Mike will be working with Rick and Debbie Hutchinson of New Life Haiti missions in Port au Ciel, Haiti.  There will be some light to heavy construction and plenty of opportunity to minister to indigenous villagers.  The accommodations will be somewhat primitive, like camping in  tents.

November 2010, Cusco, Peru, POC Josh McNeil JosjMcNeil@bellsouth.net, 256-772-8242, Cost $1440

We will be traveling high into the Andes mountains to partner with Joel and Emily Malm, who have a ministry called the “Meeting Place” in Cusco.  You will have the opportunity to minister to people from all over the world who travel to Cusco looking for “Spiritual Enlightenment”.  We will also have the opportunity to minister to local indigenous villagers and probably do a little mountain climbing, since Cusco is at 3,400m (over 10,000 ft.).  We might even get to go to some Incan ruins or Machu Picchu.  I don;t think that is the Pokemom. but it sure does sound like it.
