Serving Opportunities within our Judea Loving, Giving, Serving-In Jesus’ Name

Missions is about serving and caring for others.  There are many needs and you were created to fill one of them.  These ministry areas are all outreach opportunities and you are needed to make a difference in others’ lives.   Pray about how you and your family might be involved.  Local ministries need your prayers, your hands and feet and your heart!

Look for opportunities to serve locally by checking the Local Mission Table at the front left of the Worship Center.  There are Local Mission pamphlets that give upcoming opportunities to serve.  Be part of the Church leaving the building. CrossPointe Church supports many in the area and they all need Volunteers.

 

CASA Temps Day: November 5- Casa Temps Day – a day of service to those in our community who are unable to do physical labor and prepare their homes for the winter months.  Lots of opportunities to use your skills, learn new skills and share God’s love in a very practical way.  Sign up at the Local Mission Table at the front left of the Worship Center.

Community Thanksgiving Dinner: Wednesday, November 23 – Community Thanksgiving Dinner.  Volunteer now – whether you want to cook, serve, plan or gather supplies, we need to know you are interested in serving at this fantastic Community event.  Contact Deborah at 256-325-7313 or email deborah@inside-outministries.org to volunteer.  Planning Team meetings will begin in September and we need your help.

Salvation Army Christmas Angels: December 11 – Salvation Army Christmas Angels Due Date Are you interested in serving with your family? Children ages 4 and up are encouraged to begin learning to serve.  There are several opportunities and we’d love to help you get involved.  Check the Local Missions bulletin board on the front left side of the sanctuary.

Women’s Rescue Mission Study and Fellowship: Second Saturday of each month and other special times.  Join this Team and share God’s Word and blessings with the Women of the Downtown Rescue Mission. Contact Linda Kincer at lindak6262@aol.com to volunteer or for more information.

Food Service at the Downtown Rescue Mission: First and last Sundays of the month, from 3:45-5:30 pm at the Downtown Rescue Mission.  Sign up at the Local Mission Table or contact Bill Van at w.van@mchsi.com for more information.
