CHOOSE LIFE
Choose Life ministers to women and family members facing unplanned pregnancies by sharing the Gospel and providing education. They offer mentoring and discipleship to those desiring to make lifestyle changes and tech abstinence on education in schools, churches and other organizations. A part of our service is to provide Ob/Gyn doctors and nurses to provide encouragement to promote life and healthy babies. Also provided is one to one and group support to those suffering from a terminated pregnancy
DOWNTOWN RESCUE MISSION
Supplies food, lodging and spiritual support to the area’s homeless. CrossPointe is involved by serving food two Sundays a month and by financial backing. If you would like to help with food service talk Bill Van. Volunteers are also welcome in the areas of children’s programs, teaching classes, painting, landscaping and mowing. CROSSPOINTE HELPING HANDS
This is a ministry where our Church family is blessed with support during times of special needs– sometimes we just can’t do it alone. We hope to offer help in the areas of electrical, plumbing, painting, yard work, moving, errands,transportation, meals at the loss of family, car washing, handyman repairs or whatever is needed. This is for our Church to help people of our own Church family in times of need of any kind is wanted. Team leads are Wayne and Kathy Pressnell or Mike and Dawn Smith. INSIDE-OUT MINISTRIES, INC.
Created as a non-profit to serve our community by helping those who are struggling with basic needs like food, clothing and shelter for their family by giving some assistance while offering hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ to affect change from the inside out of individuals. Inside-Out is also a partner with local churches and civic organizations to become a point of contact between churches and the community to affect a change in the organizations from the inside out. THE ROSE OF SHARON SOUP KITCHEN AND THRIFT STORE
Feed the homeless and needy Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm. Also provide monthly clothing assistance, and a coat, hat, gloves and scarves in the colder months. Provide Bible studies on Wednesday at 11 am trying to help people turn their lives around for the glory of God. CALL TO AFRICA
Ken Galyean is the leader of this group that moves teams and resources to the “Modern Day Macedonian Calls” where the national leaders are saying “come help us”. This is done through training and equipping the saints and caring for widows and orphans through local churches. There is also a “Bibles and Bikes” program for supplying the local pastors with need supplies. There are plans for an orphanage to be built and the building of purification systems for water. CASA ALELUYA
This mission is an orphanage and school for abused children in Guatemala. They take in all abused children who come and give them love, care and hope for the future through the love of Christ. They range in age from days old to teenagers; many have returned as teachers to the newcomers. This also includes “Build Your House On The Rock” ministries bases in Lake Charles, LA and serving in Guatemala. They don’t look for children for adoption, but want the children to grow up and make a difference in their own country. NEW LIFE HAITI
Pastor Rick and Debbie Hutchinson have served as full time missionaries in Haiti for 8 years. Their mandate from the Lord is to “wash the island” with the Word of God. The primary focus of their ministry is to raise-up national leaders to preach the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ and shepherd His people. They host missions teams who do ministry in Haiti to include: water well repair, medical clinics, home and church building construction, orphanage outreach, feeding the poor and currently a “village makeover”. Our church will be doing one or more trips to Haiti starting in 2010 to find what our church can do to help. You can find out more about their mission work at www.missionfieldsonline.com . SHALOM MUSIC INTERNATIONAL
Uses music tapes and CDs as a tool of evangelism and healing and to bring the Gospel to the Jews in Israel and Russia. INTERNATIONAL MISSION BOARD
Part of the Southern Baptist Convention, this Mission covers a wide range of ministries. Its stated desire is to fulfill the Great Commission by making all people disciples of Christ. They are working to bring the Gospel to all people and languages around the world, from North Africa to Ecuador. CrossPointe Church supports this mission with contributions and with prayer. NASSAN IBRAHIM MINISTRIES
Nassan works in Uganda, Africa with a focus on evangelism, church planting, orphanages and humanitarian outreach. He received the Lord as his Savior in 1983, turning away from the Muslim religion. Today he works with people in that religion to spread the Word of Truth. He preaches or shepherds several churches in Uganda and has a growing body of Christians in the region. Part of the mission is Grace Radio Station, which reaches out to many poor most of whom have small radios. As of today Nassan does not have a website, but it is under construction.
LIVING WATER INTERNATIONAL
This is a Christian organization that exists to demonstrate God’s love by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water and experience “Living Water”-the Gospel of Jesus Christ which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. It operates in South America, Central America, Asia and Africa. Besides the Gospel and water, it supplies health and hygiene training and humanitarian service. Our church has helped to support the trips of our ownpeople to Honduras, with trips to Guatemala, Honduras and Haiti in 2010. In our church the “go to guy” isMike Nevin for quick questions. MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP
This is a three part mission. Aviation to provide transportation to a wide assortment of people to include critically injured or sick people and cargos necessary to support missionaries around the world. Information technologies to provide internet, e-mail and satellite phone communications between missionaries in the field and with their families back home. Learning Technologies provides long distance education and training for pastors and church leaders in countries where Bible and theology training are not readily available. COMMISION TO EVERY NATION
Focuses on pastoral care for people in the mission field outside of their own country. They help to resolve the problems that they may have and give them support when needed. CrossPointe is helping to support Joel and Emily Malm who are serving the Lord in Cuzco, Peru. They are working on Meltdown Ministries with a church, hostel and cafe outreach called “The Meeting Place”. They serve the locals, travelers and mission teams in the area. DOULOS PARTNERS
This is an organization that focuses on church planting to spread the Gospel and disciple new ministries. Afterwards, to maintain the church for 3 to 4 years until they can be self-supporting and possibly plant churches of their own. The countries served are Cuba, Mexico, India, Pakistan and Nepal.
